Question of the day: Doctor my recent blood investigations has shown elevated blood glucose. Where should I take my treatment?

 

Answer: First/ initial diabetic consultation should be always offline i.e. at doctor's clinic (preferably doctor post-graduated in Medicine/ Endocrinology/ Paediatrics. Physical examination is very important in diagnosing the type and subtype of diabetes which is not possible in the online consultation. Once the type/subtype of diabetes is diagnosed, the doctor can decide on diet/ activity and drug intervention. We NEVER recommend online initial management of diabetes.
